One of the top posts here at NautilusMODE has been the guide to tearing apart the Toshiba C55D-B5214 laptop. Now we have video of the process!
To help all of you with the same or similar laptops here is the video guide to tear apart your machine and void your warranty(if it hasn’t run out yet). If you are ready to dig into your machine and upgrade it, check out the video below.
WARNING: DO NOT ATTEMPT IF YOU ARE NOT EXPERIENCED WORKING WITH COMPUTER COMPONENTS. THIS PROCESS WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY AND YOU MAY DAMAGE YOUR SYSTEM. IF YOU PROCEED IT IS ADVISED THAT YOU USE PROPER STATIC PROTECTION TO MINIMIZE RISK OF DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER OR ITS PARTS. (Do not avoid it as I have in the video)
This video only contains the teardown, but it should be easy enough to reassemble from watching it be taken apart. The only issue I have had is the display cord and wireless antennas being properly placed when reattaching the screen. If it’s wrong you will find yourself short and be unable to connect them.
Hopefully if you had any questions on how to completely dismantle your system this will answer it for you. For additional teardown information please consult my original post found here:
