January is the month in which Trevor and I evaluate our clothing up and down, every stitch, to make sure each piece will serve us well throughout the year. We check for set-in stains, holes, frays, fit and broken threads in order to weed out pieces that have worn out. After going through our pieces, I’m happy to say that, for the remaining Thursdays in January I’ll be sharing our wardrobes! My clothes, Trevor’s, and his work wardrobe. I am so excited to show you guys what we’ve got going on for this year!
Last week I talked about five of the benefits of a capsule wardrobe, so I’m thrilled to be able to show you the things we wear on a daily basis. This is real life! Hopefully seeing our clothing collections will help inspire you to go through your own closet.
His 2017 Wardrobe
Most of the items in Trevor’s wardrobe are fro last year, and older, so I won’t be providing any links for these items. I will tell you that the items are from Target, Old Navy, Aeropostale, Bon-Ton, or JC Penny’s.
This is where I want to note, we aren’t super thrilled about this as we’d like to purchase clothing of much higher quality and ethical standards in the future. While this mindset is noble, it is expensive to do and we’ll have to save up. This is why our wardrobe looks the way it does; we’re hoping to wear these clothes to the end of their lives in order to save up for some ethical digs.
