We were both sick over the past week but it hasn’t stopped us from working on our goal of weight loss!
I’ve been fairly inactive due to illness, and that’s also meant my eating habits have been lousy as well. At the beginning of the week I ate a good amount and slept more than my fair share, and its tapered off at the end of the week. I’m still ill and feeling junkie, but I’m not as hungry or able to sleep as well. I’m hoping this illness is gone by the end of next week. As for activity, this week I’ll be starting a…walking program? I’m going to try to get some movement in mid-day as a break from work.

I seem to lose more weight when I am sick. I am now down to 216! I am sure this will rebound up some tomorrow but the trend on about a pound per week is continuing and the Withings Body app tracking it shows the trend. It’s a great feeling and very motivational when I think of caving for a second time to processed or sweet food in the week. Recently I have found myself craving it more, and I have had some fast food. However, keeping the goal of getting to 190 is still enough to make me think twice before breaking my new habits. I have had a head cold that lasted past a stomach bug late last week so haven’t felt the best, but still feel more energized than when I ate a lot of processed food. I can’t believe that eating mostly unprocessed fruits and vegetables and not leaving myself hungry could let me lose this much weight! Can’t wait to see if I can keep this up until I reach a good solid healthy weight. I am excited to be truly healthy again. I haven’t been under 216 since before our honeymoon and that was almost 5 years ago. Shooting for 190 or lower which I haven’t been since college.
